“THE ROUNDUP : PUNISHMENT”: Spreading Positive Influence through Barrier-Free Screening

 The movie “THE ROUNDUP : PUNISHMENT” (director Heo Myunghaeng) is spreading positive influence. In celebration of the 44th Disabled Persons’ Day (April 20th), a barrier-free screening event has been prepared.

The “THE ROUNDUP : PUNISHMENT” team will hold a subtitle screening event on the 28th of April at 4 PM at Megabox Coex Branch. 150 hearing-impaired individuals have been invited, along with sign language interpreters and donors from the Korean Foundation for Disabled Persons.

Director Heo Myunghaeng and the cast will also be present for a stage greeting. Ma Dongseok, Kim Muyeol, Park Ji-hwan, Lee Donghwi, and other main actors of “THE ROUNDUP : PUNISHMENT” will communicate with the audience members who are hearing-impaired.

The Korean subtitle film was produced for the convenience of the hearing-impaired individuals, providing subtitles for dialogues, speaker names, and sound information. In particular, these subtitles will be released simultaneously on the opening day of “THE ROUNDUP : PUNISHMENT” on April 24th.

A representative from the Korean Foundation for Disabled Persons expressed gratitude, stating, “Thanks to the cast of ‘THE ROUNDUP : PUNISHMENT’ for their efforts in spreading cultural accessibility for the hearing-impaired individuals. This Disabled Persons’ Day feels even more heartwarming.”

“THE ROUNDUP : PUNISHMENT depicts the story of Detective Ma Seokdo (played by Ma Dongseok) as he fights crime. The villains of this installment are played by Kim Muyeol and Lee Donghwi. The plot revolves around the dismantling of an online illegal gambling organization. The movie will be released on the 24th of April.
